Ah. I am absolutely unfamiliar with popular low-carb diets, just the one the doctor outlined for my mother. I was just trying to offer some insight as to how a recipe that looks as if it has a high carb count could be considered low carb based on the math involved with fiber and/or protein. :)

NO, it was interesting, because I was diabetic until I lost weight and my doctor never told me to eat low carb, just to avoid carby meals to keep my blood sugar under control. I was very interested. SEE there are different types of low carbing, due to diet limitations and different ways to count them. I find this very interesting and helpful for others.

But I also low carbed (Diet) and it was 20 carbs per day limit. SO anyone low carbing on that diet to lose weight, really counts every carb. It's pretty strict. 1 cup of coffee is a carb.

A diet which restricts you to 20g carbs PER DAY is incredibly unhealthy!!! I'm supposed to shoot for 25g per plate at dinner, by medical advice. I cannot even conceive of a diet that is that restrictive, and quite honestly it scares me a little. :? A normal diet is supposed to contain 300g carbs per day.

My mother is not full-on diabetic, she is pre-diabetic. Her doctor is trying to control it with a change in diet as opposed to pumping her full of drugs or insulin. So far it's working.
