We recently watched Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained.
We are Tarantino fans here.
And in the tradition of Tarantino, it has his brand of pop culture flavor.
While I don't shy from violent movies, this one was violent and intense, sometimes uncomfortably so. I'd compare the "out of your comfort zone" level to that of Reservoir Dogs.
But while it is definitely not for everyone, I did feel it was an excellent movie.
Don't let your kids anywhere near this one, the content is decidedly mature.
If you have issues with violence, I think you might like to try something else.
If you can get past the bloodshed and racial degradation (the film is about a freed slave of the 1850's), this might be something you would enjoy.
