The table below refers to unpeeled shrimp without their heads

Shrimp Size --- Average number of Shrimp per pound

Extra Colossal --- 5
Colossal --- 14
Extra Jumbo --- 18
Jumbo --- 23
Extra Large --- 28
Large --- 33
Medium- Large --- 38
Medium --- 45
Small --- 55
Extra Small --- 65

Just remember that different species can really vary in #/lb. But, that is a very helpful table for most of the common shrimp (white or pink); that are most often sold. Most of us who buy shrimp in grocery stores or fish markets would deal with these amounts.
