Whole Olives Conversions

Post by Kittencal » Mon Oct 12, 2015 9:41 pm

I'm not sure how accurate the cup, grams, ounce is, the first one however is accurate. Our new system does not accept whole olives listed in cups or in single amount (example 4 olives/1 cup whole olives) it does however accept chopped olives listed in cups, whole olives must be listed in weight.
For the cup/gram/ounce conversion , this will give our recipe posters some idea anyway ;)
For whole olives listed more that 20, just multiply amounts as needed. Example, 20 olives = 240 grams

Weight for single jumbo pitted olives (NOT Kalamata)

3 olives - 18 grams
4 olives - 24 grams
5 olives - 30 grams
6 olives - 36 grams
7 olives - 42 grams
8 olives - 48 grams
9 olives - 54 grams
10 olives - 60 grams
11 olives - 66 grams
12 olives - 72 grams
13 olives - 78 grams
14 olives - 84 grams
15 olives - 90 grams
16 olives - 96 grams
17 olives - 102 grams
18 olives - 108 grams
19 olives - 114 grams
20 olives - 120 grams

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 Kalamata olive, pitted - 4 grams

----------------------------------------------------------------

For jumbo pitted olives AND large pitted Kalamata olives

1/8 cup - 25 g - 0.9 oz
1/4 cup - 50 g - 1.8 oz
1/3 cup - 65 g - 2.4 oz
3/8 cup - 75 g - 2.6 oz
1/2 cup - 100 g - 3.5 oz
5/8 cup - 125 g - 4.4 oz
2/3 cup - 135 g - 4.7 oz
3/4 cup - 150 g - 5.3 oz
7/8 cup- 175 g - 6.2 oz
1 cup - 200 g- 7.1 oz
2 cups - 400 g - 14.1 oz
4 cups- 800 g - 28.2 oz
