A shared tip

If you want to see how the lighting and focus in your photo appears, convert it to grey scale using your editing software. If it does not look good in black and white , it will not in color. Some of the better editors will display any layers ( edits ) you or somtone else has done. You can then undo the edit to keep the original or save under a different name to keep.
