Sounds great, with our late start on garden, doubt anything will be ready however. Maybe lettuce and radishes. Those are quick and spring onions. All planted and all poking through soil!

With our late spring I'm still planting my Saskatchewan garden! Think I need to head to the city and find some good transplants to hurry the garden along. I do have strawberries blooming so maybe will have enough to make Derf's http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/old-fa ... cream-2774

The last week plus has been so cold, lots of rain but the garden seems to be okay with lots of things poking through - will take some photos in a few days. Our farmers market has so out priced itself that I don't shop there any more. I used to go every Tuesday and Friday I will take some photos of it.

My radishes are growing like weeds! Can't believe it. My lettuce is coming up strong too. Just wish my beans would sprout! Grrrrrr check every day, patiently waiting. My moms neighbor plowed up his normal garden, then decided he wasn't going to plant. SO he told us we could if we wanted to. We have already planted zucchini, bells and cucs. Going to plant much more! Plus I harvested some rhubarb tonight when I was at his garden. SO rhubarb crisp in the near future! :D

Bea, you have no idea how much I adore rhubarb! It just really is about the perfect food for me. I love to eat it raw. I don't dip it in sugar like most do. Just eat it and really enjoy it. I was eating like a pig when we got back to the house and washed it. DH kept giving me a look, like you are nuts. WTH? I said, I only get this one time a year, summer and I ain't passing it up! So look away as I feast on this! =))

Hehehehehehe.... Dissie my hubby just goes nuts for rhubarb. He is a tad bit weird as he dips it in salt :? I enjoy it with sugar or in cooked desserts.

Now weird is using rhubarb in iced tea. Yes, I did that. I have 5 4to5-star reviews on that recipe too.
That recipe was the strange love-child of Cindy Lynn's RSC contest at the other place. I bet Bergy still remembers that awful contest ingredient list.
To this day I have a hard time eating sage, I ate so much. It was also on the list.
....And in the tea.  =)) =)) =))
