Re: Who knows what this is?

I like that answer Sue. It looks perfect for the job. Can I use it to make square cookie sandwiches to hold the ice cream?

Re: Who knows what this is?

Looks like the thumb lever on the bottom extends the flat square at the top, so I'll guess a spatula. (Or a mini snow shovel? Since it must be food related, it may be for snow cones.) ;-)

It wasn't that obvious to me QueenBea.

A round of applause for Rpgaymer! (Quick, pick a nickname before someone else gives you one.) And welcome to our guessing game. :)

Re: Who knows what this is?

Gracious! Except for increasing quantity and wear and tear on the cook, I can't see how this beats a sharp knife. :?

Re: Who knows what this is?

Could it be a juicer? (Looks like half an orange or grapefruit might fit that mold.)

Re: Who knows what this is?

I thought ya'll collected these things (which would mean you know how they work). Silly me. The things we take for granted can get us into trouble! ;)

Re: Who knows what this is?

Well gracious. How does it work? Does the crank reduce the size of the opening or turn the food being peeled? Any pics of it in action? Re: Who knows what this is?

No slicing? Hmmmmm.

Peeling maybe? That looks like a blade on the opposite end from the handle. The sticker on the bottom left appears to be a warning about sharp edges.

Time for someone else to venture another guess. I'll be pondering . . . . and enjoying the weekend. =-)

Re: Who knows what this is?

Thanks, Bergy. Often when I arrive, the item has already been identified, but it's still fun to see vintage gadgets. My favorite so far was the tin oven. This one looks as though it slices while holding the to-be-sliced food. I assume one would have a bowl or plate underneath to catch the whatevers....
