Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - SEPTEMBER 2014

Where is everyone this week - pretty quiet. What is everyone up to? It was made abundantly clear to me that I am no longer welcome, so I've moved on to other things, and other places where my posts are wanted. The only thing I post here any more is the books I'm reading, but since virtually no one ...

Re: What's Everyone Reading?

Today's choice was The Gods of Guilt by Michael Connelly. I suppose I should probably have read these in order, but I've never been lost while reading one so I haven't really paid much attention. They're relatively easy reads, but interesting, and there's always a twist I wasn't expecting in amongst...

Re: What's Everyone Reading?

Yesterday I read Sight Unseen by Iris Johansen and her son, Roy. As always, her novels are interesting enough to hold my attention while I read them, and then I forget almost everything as soon as I close the cover. When she adds her son as a co-author, the quality of the work decreases a great deal...

Re: What's Everyone Reading?

I just finished Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King. Not even a little a typical King novel, but really, really good! There is absolutely no supernatural anything involved, just a police/crime novel, but with his distinctive style. I loved his earlier work, but I would be perfectly fine if this is a new di...

Re: Crustless Crab Quiche by Felix

Thank you so much for the review and pictures! I'm sorry you found the times to be off... I wrote down how long it took me to prep and cook, but I realize everyone is different. I'm glad you liked it!

Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - SEPTEMBER 2014

Felix, looks like a nice place; decent prices too. At least it seems you have a few nice places fairly close that you can go. Downtown is full of good restaurants, and the Arena District is adding more almost weekly. We've also got a TON of residential spaces going in downtown, and all of those peo...

Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - SEPTEMBER 2014

Today I really am grabbing a couple of slices of pizza between shows. Hopefully they'll have some BBQ chicken and bacon, but I can always find something I like. They usually have at least a dozen varieties ready.

Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - SEPTEMBER 2014

I'm up and been at work for almost an hour already and it's barely 9:30. While I'm glad to be back, I am truly not a fan of three-show days at the circus. At least it's sitting work, easy, and I get to watch both the Alabama-FSU game and the Michigan-Utah game since we have more than one TV in...

Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - SEPTEMBER 2014

OMG I hear ya. I did the physical therapy thing too, dr stopped it last appt, thought that is dumb, but he had to have his reasons. Next appt is going to be telling him I need it to learn to walk again. DUMB ASS DR's! I try to walk daily, stairs are the worst. I can walk up easily with my cane and ...

Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - SEPTEMBER 2014

Not any more. That was the first thing they fixed in physical therapy, since I was only walking on the outside of it so my toe wouldn't hit the ground. Unfortunately, this is just "suck it up until it gets better" pain because I didn't walk very far in the real world for the better part of a year. I...
