Re: Quick Breads, Muffins & Biscuits

Muffin top pan - not sure why I don't have one! Think I may need two since I usually make several batches of muffins when baking - a quick taste and straight to the freezer.( Feel way too guilty enjoying them when dh who has to restrict his sugars looks on) He does exceptionally well and that makes ...

Re: How to tenderize beef stew meat

With spending the afternoon putting my garden to bed I did an oven stew which is great for those days when you aren't in the kitchen. Came in both tired and hungry, the aroma alone was worth a five! (I have been prodded to make a family cookbook because far too many of my recipes are either not on p...

Re: All Things Sweet to Eat

I have to admit that when I am planning a get together, or Holiday dinner, I always start with figuring out which desserts first! That made me chuckle, because so often that is exactly where I start the planning! There is always one new dessert on the desert table when have a gathering - often told...

Re: How to tenderize beef stew meat

Those are excellent instructions Mary, so much so that I'm hoping you think to positing it - there are one lot of cooks out there who would appreciate having this close at hand when making stew.

Bread Makers

While there is nothing quite like the hands on, when my wrists began to make kneading difficult I got my first bread maker. I still make up yeast breads but now rely heavily on my BM - love that bread maker! Makes up great bread and awesome on the dough cycle. Yes love bringing my bread basket to th...

Re: Quick Breads, Muffins & Biscuits

Noted dh came home with a really big bag of bananas, I think he overheard requests for Banana Muffins! Haven't had a muffin for months and months, with the weekend upon us it's a good time to get baking. (You have me almost tasting that Bran muffin, they are another favourite at our house)

Re: RecipeBook Tag

Would love to play but think I need to get more recipes posted. Do I need to make up cookbooks before playing or is a link to my recipes sufficient for now? Know the tags are a great way to find new recipes, which has me looking forward to playing along with all of you!
