"A friend of mine made these for us for dinner a while back...she finally gave me the recipe...these make a perfect side dish...and are company worthy...she didn't really give me any measurement except for the amount of potatoes."

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Step 2

Melt butter and pour into a 9X13 inch pan and spread evenly across the bottom.

Step 3

Generously sprinkle Parmesan cheese and lightly sprinkle other seasonings all over the butter.

Step 4

Place potato halves face down on the butter and seasonings.

Step 5

Place in preheated oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.

Step 6

Cool for at least a FULL 5 minutes before removing from the pan, otherwise the Parmesan crust won't stick to the potato.

We enjoyed these potatoes, made as directed except I only used 4 potatoes. I used sour cream on mine while everyone else added some butter. Thanks for sharing!

Delicious is all the comment I need to make about this recipe. Oh! It is so easy too. A real gem that will be made many times.

I made this last night for a late snack for DD and myself. I followed the recipe as written, although I think I should have left my potatoes in the oven a few minutes longer, as the parmesan had not melted and cooked properly! Next time I might cut the butter just a little, but we did really love these little beauties. I did ask DH did he want any but he declined ~ only to come back 30 minutes later looking for them, but DD and myself had demolished the lot. He was still complaining this morning that he had missed them.... ahh well, maybe next I served with sour cream mixed with an aged balsamic....OHH YUMMY!
