"This recipe uses the magic of hawaij spice, crushed potato chips, and air frying to make ground turkey you are excited to eat. Hawaij is Yemini/Israeli/Arabic and is super-friendly to turkey. You can make it yourself: it is just cumin, cardamom (pods are much better than ground), turmeric, pepper, coriander, cloves (google for ratios). The wavy potato chips and air frying gives much-needed texture so they can be eaten alone, instead of pouring on gravy. My air-fryer is a Foodi flip-up oven that can cook a dozen meatballs at a time."

Step 1

Saute veggies and onion in butter or oil , salt and pepper, until soft, let cool.

Step 2

Mix all ingredients, except chips, to make meatball batter.

Step 3

Adjust the consistency of batter with more milk if needed, it should be soft and slightly sticky.

Step 4

Form large meatballs, 1.5-2 inch diameter, and roll in the crushed potato chips. Slightly press the chips in.

Step 5

Lay out meatballs in your air fryer basket.

Step 6

Set oven to 375°F and cook for about 13 minutes. Check temp, flip and continue about 7 more minutes. Chips should be dark brown (almost black in spots) when meatballs are done.
