Cretons (French Canadian Pork Pate) Re: Cretons (French Canadian Pork Pate) This is a really lovely spread! The combination of spices gave it a sweetie yumminess. I have tried it on bread and on crackers and both are wonderful. Would be a great addition to appetizer table. I will definately be making this again. Thank you Queenie for sharing a wee bit of your heritage.
Sour Cream Apple Nut Coffee Cake Re: Sour Cream Apple Nut Coffee Cake This is a wonderfully lovely cake! I followed the directions with one exception. I added 1 cup of nuts (pecans) instead of 1/2 cup. The texture of the cake is light and fluffy and not too sweet. Just perfect! Baking cakes from scratch has never been my strong suit...but this one I will be making frequently. Thank you for sharing Gayle!
Sweet Potato Chews For Dogs Re: Sweet Potato Chews For Dogs We have a Chocolate Lab and 3 wee ones who just about jump out of their fur for these treats! I had some room left over on the baking sheet so I washed up and sliced some carrots and they turned out great. Heck...we like 'em too! Looking forward to using other veggies. Thank you so much for sharing!
Tomato Chili Bread Re: Tomato Chili Bread This was fast and easy to put together. The flavour and texture was wonderful! I used fresh garlic and chili and DH loved it. We will be having this with our soup and salad tonight. I do believe we like this better than cornbread! Thank you for sharing this delicious recipe kberry!
Caramelized Onion and Bacon Tart Re: Caramelized Onion and Bacon Tart Wonderful flavoured tart! Unfortunately when I went shopping for the fresh thyme, both stores were out. So I had to use some dried French thyme. Will be making again with the fresh for sure. I made my own ricotta from 1L(qt) of whole milk and did not change another thing. Fast and easy to put together. Thank you for sharing!
