BIO: My name is Linda. I am happily single, and I live in the eastern seacoast area in Rochester NH. I have 2 grown sons, a dil, and 2 beautiful grandsons. I really enjoy my time trying new recipes, taking pictures, and reviewing lots of yummy recipes! I love to cook, and share recipes. The recipes that I share are mainly my own creations, or family recipes passed down to me from my mom and grandmother, and other family members or friends. If I post something from somewhere else, it has to sound REALLY good to me for me to post it! Many of the dishes that I prepare are simple, good, down home cooking. Many of them originate from New England, as my grandmother is from Maine, and my mother from New Hampshire. I do also like to try making some gourmet recipes as well, using my creativity along the way. I started cooking at a the age of 8, helping my mother and grandmother in the kitchen. My curiosity for cooking has led me to create many of my own recipes through trial and error. I hope you enjoy them as much as my family and I do :) In my spare time I play on my computer collecting recipes, and have been working on creating a cookbook to publish for some time, but have put it aside for now. I also love to travel and shop. I love to go to the beach and mountains, and as food is a passion of mine, I love to dine out and try many different cuisines in the area, and with friends when I am traveling :) I made my first herb garden in 2008, but have had vegetable gardens for many years in the past. I have done my share of canning and I love those fresh herbs and veggies all summer long!

Swedish Pancakes (Family Recipe) Re: Swedish Pancakes (Family Recipe)
Since I am Swedish, I couldn't wait to try your recipe for my favorite pancakes. I love these so much better than regular pancakes. To me there is no comparison. Your family recipe will indeed be my "go to" recipe from now on when I feel like pancakes. They are so easy to whip up and really delicious. I made mine using 2 tablespoons of batter to make the smaller ones (in photo) then I made one big one to roll (in photo). I used a pat of butter and cinnamon and sugar on the smaller ones, then on the bigger one I put cinnamon and sugar on the inside and a little maple syrup on the outside. Both were amazing and they are so versatile that you can add fruit on the inside and roll, then whipped cream on the outside. I can't wait to try them with strawberries and blueberries when they are in season. YUM! Thank you for this very special recipe, dear to my heart!

Kittencal's Famous Parmesan Meatballs Re: Kittencal's Famous Parmesan Meatballs These meatballs are so easy to make and the end result pleases even the pickiest eaters! I have made these several times now, including last week for my nieces Wedding Shower. I got so many compliments on them, one being that my little niece threw out her plate of food that her mom got for her and she ran to the crock pot with the meatballs and scooped out a bowl full and ran back to her seat to eat, smiling up at her mom and saying, "This is what I wanted mom" LOL... I guess you know when a little one enjoys them so much they must be good, and these are G-R-E-A-T! So moist and tender and the flavor is top notch! This is my only meatball recipe from now on, as my family now asks me to make "Those Wonderful Meatballs"! Thank you Carol for sharing this stellar recipe with us. You sure do make me look good :D Linda
Southwest Cheese Soup Re: Southwest Cheese Soup This is a very tasty soup, cheesy with a bit of heat from the peppers... I bought Walmart brand tomatoes with green chilies and they were pretty hot. Next time I will get the regular Ro-tel tomatoes with green chilies, as they are a bit milder. Also, I substituted kidney beans for the black beans, because that is what I had on hand, and I like them better than black beans. It was very good. I will have this soup again sometime this winter when it's cold outside and I want to warm up! Thanks for sharing your recipe with us Lori! Linda
Church Windows Re: Church Windows Every Christmas my gram used to make these for us. They taste great and look so pretty on a plate. Thanks for bringing back good memories for me with these yummy sweets!
Fast Fry Pork Chops Re: Fast Fry Pork Chops I make these all the time and they are quick, easy and delicious. I usually serve them with Mashed Potatoes, Cole Slaw, and Chunky Cinnamon Applesauce.. Yummy!
