I love to cook. My cooking style is easy, quick, healthy, and (I hope) delicious! I can't seem to avoid tweaking a recipe and personalizing it, even if it doesn't need tweaking... When family and friends enjoy my cooking, that's the best reward. Oh...I love taking food photos, too :)

| Kittencal's Crispy Skillet Potato Slices | Re: Kittencal's Crispy Skillet Potato Slices | I agree ~~ cold baked potatoes make the best fried! I like to leave the skins on sometimes, too. | |
| Tilapia With An Asian Flair (Microwave) | Re: Tilapia With An Asian Flair (Microwave) | A great way flavorful way to fix tilapia - one of my favorite fish! A keeper recipe for me... :) | |
| Egg Foo Yong | Re: Egg Foo Yong | I will definitely be making this again - even if I don't have any leftover meat! I don't really care for celery, so just left it out completely but I think for my tastes water chestnuts would have been a good substitute that I will probably try next time. I also departed from Bergy's recipe a bit in that I sauteed the onions, mushrooms, and pepper first to soften them slightly before stirring in the egg and seasonings. Just make sure that they have cooled some so that you don't end up with scrambled egg before it gets in the skillet! :) | |
| Buffalo Turkey Pasta | Re: Buffalo Turkey Pasta | Wow. I'm glad I selected this recipe from the Billboard Tag Game. It was delicious. I'd say it was a comfort food right up there with mac and cheese! I did substitute chicken for the turkey and instead of cream cheese, I used Neufchatel. I had never cooked with that before, but at 1/3 less fat, it couldn't hurt to try it, right? I definitely agree that it's best to mix the pasta with the sauce, especially if you use a pasta shape that holds some of the creamy sauce... :) |
