BIO: Bread baking is my passion . . . whether it be wild yeast or commercial yeast, I'm always in search of new recipes and methods to try! Come join me in The Bread Basket forum and let's get to baking! I retired from American Express on July 1, 2005 . . . and by September we were on a Sailboat in The Sea of Cortez (West Coast of Mexico). For six years we spent our Summers in the mountains of Arizona and our Winters in Mexico sailing the beautiful waters with several hundred other Americans and Canadians. During this time on The Sea I earned the name Galley Wench. We recently sold the boat and now have a Winter home in the suburbs of Tucson, AZ. "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside . . . Chardonnay in one hand . . .chocolate in the other; the body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

Kittencal's Spaghetti Pie Re: Kittencal's Spaghetti Pie Excellent . . . did not have time to make my own sauce so used bottled(with a few additions) and it was very tasty.
Linda's Holiday Gourmet Chocolate Dipped Pretzels Re: Linda's Holiday Gourmet Chocolate Dipped Pretzels So easy and a great treat for halloween!!! Instead of pretzel sticks ,I bought large sourdough pretzels and dipped the whole pretzels (no sprinkles). . . will have to try them again ;=) using the the pretzel sticks. Thanks Linda!
Pesto Bruschetta Re: Pesto Bruschetta
I made these, however my tomatoes where past their prime so left them off. They were still delicious; a great way to use up odd ends of my SFO sourdough! Will be making again soon, will do right this time and post a proper picture. Update: Made them again this time using all the ingredients . . . the only change I made is added parmesan cheese, which I believe is very important; holds it all together, plus tastes so goooood!

Chicken Chile Verde Enchiladas (Family Favorite) Re: Chicken Chile Verde Enchiladas
Great recipe! I used up the last of the Thanksgiving turkey breast and it was perfect. I used Pepper Jack and Hatches medium heat green chili sauce so left out the peppers. Also added about a 1/2 can of black beans to the mixture and substituted sliced green onions for the black olive garnish!

Crunchy Veggie Rice Paper Wraps Re: Crunchy Veggie Rice Paper Wraps
These were soooo good! I added some red cabbage and red peppers to the mixture and made them vegetarian, otherwise followed your recipe. Served with Asian planked salmon and ginger rice. Did the chopping earlier in the day before guest arrived so it was snap to put together. Thanks for a 'keeper'!
