I'm a retired state park resort manager/park ranger who enjoys cooking as my primary hobby and, of course, to feed my wife and me every day. If I'm not cooking, I'm reading classic literature and, if I'm doing either, I'm also listening to classical music in the background. I can cook or bake about anything but my wife and I do most enjoy Italian and Mexican food. If I have a specialty it would be outdoor gourmet cooking on all manner of cooking devices, everything from an open campfire to a home-made outdoor double boiler for producing large quantities of various soups. Like most folks, I have a sweet tooth which must be occasionally gratified so I'm always on the lookout for great desserts. That's about it beyond taking care of our menagerie of cats and dogs, I pretty much take it easy and enjoy life here in the Appalachian foothills of south-central Ohio. A visit from my daughter, her husband and my beautiful grandkids is always a welcome chance to cook something special.
