Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350f degrees.

Step 2

Spray a 9 x 5 loaf pan with non stick cooking spray; set aside.

Step 3

Add the dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl; set aside.

Step 4

Add oil, buttermilk and vanilla to the mashed bananas; mix well;

Step 5

Pour the banana mixture into the dry ingredients; stir just until mixed, do not over mix. Stir in the chopped walnuts.

Step 6

Por batter into prepared pan, bake in preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted in the centre comes out clean and the loaf is golden brown.

Surprisingly moist, for so little fat. Easy to make. I used the sugar option. Mine turned out dark, as you can see in my photo, because I replaced the vanilla with some butter pecan flavoring I found at a local health food store, and it is very dark. Worked great in this bread.

Love this recipe! Fast and easy to put together with no muss or fuss. It was gone about 20 minutes after the pic was taken. For me I would add some spice to it, either cinnamon or a baking spice. With family here, this is a quick sweet to satisfy the tribe. Thanks for another lovely recipe! Made for Billboard Recipe Tag.
