"This is a top of the stove pasta dish that is so simple and so tasty. I added 1 1/2 teaspoons hot sauce to the recipe but otherwise it is a Kraft recipe. I used the large shells because that is what I had on hand but medium would look better. If you like finish the dish in the oven for 5 minutes to completedly melt the cheese"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Brown the beef in a large skillet.

Step 2

Stir in Pasta sauce and water. Bring to a boil.

Step 3

Add Pasta. Simmer on low 15 minutes or until shells are tender, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Stir in the ricotta. Cook covered 5 minutes.

Step 5

Stir in 1 cup shredded cheese.

Step 6

Remove from heat.

Step 7

Top with remaining cheese.

Step 8

Cover and let it stand until cheese is melted (apprx. 5 minutes).

Kitchen Magic

I did one thing that the recipe didn't call for. I added an egg, parsley, garlic and onion powder into the Ricotta cheese before mixing it in with the shells and meat. It tasted so delicious and it was so easy!
