Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F.(broil)

Cut the crusts off the bread slices.

Mix the truffle oil and butter together. lightly brush melted butter on the sides of the bread.

Using small glass, cut a hole into the center of the bread.

Butter an oven-safe skillet. Place the bread on the buttered surface.

Distribute the grated fontina evenly around the well, then carefully add the egg on top.
Step 7
Bake for 3 minutes or until the cheese has melted, the bread has toasted, and the egg has set a bit. Remove from the oven.

Finish with freshly ground salt and pepper on top.
