"Okay, so the chicken isn't drunk and it's not grilled. But you do use BBQ sauce. I asked my 13 yo to make dinner tonight, with boneless/skinless chicken breasts. He made this up and it turned out quite good. We didn't thicken the sauce, but I am putting in directions for that because I think we will do that next time."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Place the onions on the bottom of the crock pot, then place the chicken on top.
Step 2
Season the chicken with the salt and pepper.
Step 3
Pour over the whiskey, then the barbecue sauce, and cook on high for 2-3 hours, or low about 5-6.
Step 4
Just before done, add the starch/water mixture to the sauce in the crock pot, stirring to combine. This will thicken the barbecue sauce up.
Step 5
Serve with rice and drizzle extra sauce over individual portions of chicken (cut into pieces).
