"This recipe I got from a friend who knows ... I hate to bake. One day I had friends coming over; and, I promised brownies for the kids. I had a couple boxes of brownie mix; but, NO eggs or oil - I used in the dinner. So, in a panic I called my baking friend. She gave me this recipe; which was a huge hit. They turned out wonderful; and 3 simple ingredients. Now, I did add nuts to 1 batch; which makes this a 4 ingredient recipe; but, oh so good. They are super moist and rich; and, you would never know there are black beans in the mix."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Beans ... Add the beans and water to a blender; and, puree until smooth.

Step 2

Brownie Mix ... Add the pureed beans to a bowl; along with 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips, and the brownie mix. Mix until well combined and smooth. Pour into a lightly greased 13x9" pan, with a nonstick spray; or lined with parchment paper. I prefer the parchment paper. Top with the remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips.

Step 3

Options ... You can add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts to the mix, before adding it to the pan.

Step 4

Bake ... In a 350 degree preheated oven, middle shelf, for 25-30. Test by sticking a toothpick of knife in the center of the pan. If it comes out clean, the batter is set. Remove and cool before cutting.

Step 5

Finishing ... I like a dusting of powdered sugar.

Step 6

Serve and ENJOY! ... Simple and delicious.
