Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a large ziplock bag, or covered dish, combine picante sauce, orange juice concentrate, honey, garlic powder, and pepper.

Step 2

Add chicken pieces to marinade in bag or dish.

Step 3

Refrigerate at least four hours, or overnight.

Step 4

Preheat oven to 325F.

Step 5

Transfer chicken to a Pyrex dish sprayed with cooking spray. Use a dish large enough so the chicken is in a single layer. Use two dishes if necessary.

Step 6

Discard marinade.

Step 7

Bake at 325F for 50-60 minutes, until done.

For the life of me could not get any picante sauce so used a medium taco sauce and regular orange juice as we don't get concentrate here and instead of the optional honey I added agave syrup for the honey, the result was tasty and moist chicken thighs (bone in and skin on), so even though the ingredients were not exactly as per recipe all the flavours were there and they worked well together and they took 50 minutes to bake at 175C fan forced.
