"I found this recipe in a Woman's World magazine so I decided to give them a try for Superbowl Sunday. They were a hit. I served them up with #recipe12052 and celery sticks. The original recipe doesn't call for this but, I tossed these with a bit more Frank's RedHot sauce when they were cooked. If you do nothave access to the Frank's RedHot sauce, I have a copycat recipe for it here #recipe13676"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix hot sauce, 2 tablespoons of the oil, sugar, garlic, onion powder, red pepper flakes and cayenne in a large re-sealable plastic bag; swish together to mix.

Step 2

Place the wings in bag and toss to coat; seal bag removing as much of the air as possible.

Step 3

Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours, turning bag around every so often.

Step 4

Preheat oven to 400 Fahrenheit.

Step 5

Place a sheet of foil over a large baking pan and coat with remaining oil.

Step 6

Place wings in single layer on pan. (Discard leftover marinade). Bake wings for 30 minutes, turning half way through.

Step 7

Turn oven to broil, move wings to top oven rack; broil 5 minutes.

Step 8

Turn wings over. Return to top oven rack; broil until golden brown.

These came out very tasty...I cut the recipe way down for 1 serving...6 pieces...I subbed chipotle chili powder for the flakes...and I cooked them in my air fryer...they came out nice and crispy so need to broil...these really do have a sweet and spicy flavor...with a touch of heat...
