Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400° F.
Step 2
Lightly grease a baking sheet. In a medium bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. Add sweet potato and milk, stirring with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened. (Dough will be sticky).
Step 3
Turn dough out onto a heavily floured surface, and knead lightly 4 or 5 times.
Step 4
Roll dough to 3/4 “ thickness; cut with a 2 1/2" round cutter. Place on prepared baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Serve with Orange honey butter.
Step 5
Orange Honey Butter: Combine all ingredients and serve with biscuits.
