Sweet Balsamic Glazed Grilled Salmon
Recipe: #2209
November 08, 2011
"Four ingredients - balsamic, honey, orange zest and juice, and salmon ... OK ... salt and pepper too. A simple mix and brush on the salmon as it cooks. Now, I prefer an outdoor grill or an indoor grill pan, but a broiler would even work. The outdoor grill just gives it so much flavor. It is simple, easy and quick to prepare. You can serve this with just about everything. I love to grill some zucchini and maybe some potato wedges right on the grill as the salmon cooks. NO dishes and easy. Note: As a twist, my last picture I used white balsamic and baked it. The taste was a bit lighter, but still came out wonderful."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Salmon ... Take the salmon out of the refrigerator to take the chill off. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Dressing ... Mix the vinegar, honey, orange zest and orange juice together and set to the side.
Step 3
Grill ... A medium high grill or grill pan. Spray the grill with a non stick spray or brush with oil. Brush the top of the salmon (flesh side) and put that side down first on the grill. Cook 3-4 minutes until you have a nice sear or grill marks. Flip the salmon over and brush the top of the salmon again. Cook another 5-8 minutes until the salmon is firm to the touch, still pink, but cooked through. Don't over cook ... a little pink/red inside is good - it will be very moist. Add the remaining orange slices to the grill the last couple of minutes to get a light char.
Step 4
Serve ... Plate the salmon with one of the orange slices and ENJOY! As I said, I love to grill some zucchini or potatoes right on the grill along side the fish for an easy quick dinner.
