"These are a compilation of several recipes. I wanted something that would taste like apple pie but would serve more than eight people. Instead of the cream cheese icing, you can drizzle these with caramel ice cream topping - they're great either way!"

Step 11

Allow to cool at least one hour before adding glaze.

Step 12

For the glaze: Beat softened butter and cream cheese together with whisk or mixer; add in sugar and vanilla extract and continue to mix slowly until creamy.

Step 13

Add in milk until desired consistency forms. (it should be about the consistency of cinnamon roll frosting)

Step 14

Using whisk or spoon, drizzle glaze evenly over top of baked and cooled bars. Allow to set 30 minutes before serving.

I made half a recipe when my sister came up for her birthday. Wanted to make something special for her birthday. This and a nice cup of Apple Chai Tea made a great breakfast for us!

My family agrees these bars are excellent! I love that this was big enough to feed a crowd. It went fast because it was so delicious. I got several requests for the recipe which I was happy to give out.
