"A quick and easy spread/dip to prepare. This is perfect with my "Peppery Blue Cheese Whole Wheat Crackers #recipe22225 or a mix of your favorite vegetables. Celery, carrots, tomatoes, radishes, olives, cucumbers, small boiled new potatoes, etc. are all delicious; and, my favorites. This is actually better if made a day before. Now, to make this 'quick and easy,' I use a pre-made bloody mary mix - Mr. and Mrs. T Bold and Spicy Bloody Mary Mix. Obviously, you can make your own mix. And, to thin it our more to use as a dip; just add a little milk. Cooking time does include time to let the dip rest; and develop all it's good flavors."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Base Spread/Dip ... Add the cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, scallions, chives, bloody mary mix (start with 1/2 cup); lemon juice (start with 1 teaspoon), 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce; and, mix to combine. I always start with this base first; then, I can customize.

Step 2

Customize ... Now, I like a bit more horseradish in mine, a bit extra worcestershire sauce; and, a of course a little hot sauce - but, that is totally optional. Also, give it a taste as you go - then, add a bit more lemon; or a bit more bloody mix if you want. And, if you want a thinner dip; add a little milk. Simply add what you like. Cover and chill at least 8 hours before serving. I like to let this rest over night if possible. Obviously, you can make it as spicy as you like. It all depends on the type of Bloody Mary mix you decide to use - they all taste a bit different.

Step 3

Serve and ENJOY! ... Serve with plenty of my 'Peppery Blue Cheese Crackers - http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/peppery-blue-cheese-whole-wheat-crackers-22225;' or, your favorite crackers and breads. And, a tray of vegetables to dip of course.
