Servings3-4 |
2 tablespoons butter
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
4 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup white wine or broth
6 grainy buns, torn
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese of your choice
1/4 cup Parmesan
1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon paprika
pinch cayenne
salt and pepper to taste
Step 1 |
Saute onion in butter, add garlic and cook for a few minutes and set aside. |
Step 2 |
In medium bowl, light beat the eggs, add the milk, wine or broth. |
Step 3 |
Add the torn buns to the egg mixture and soak for 5 minutes. |
Step 4 |
Add the onion mixture and remaining ingredients; mix well. |
Step 5 |
Bake in a greased casserole at 325 degrees for about 35 minutes. |
