"Use can use either self-rising flour (if using self-rising flour, omit the baking powder and salt)in this or make as directed. These are a simple biscuit but have added dried herbs to this for serving with a soup or stew. Make it sweet by adding a wee bit of sugar and using it as a base for berries and cream."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2

In large bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.

Step 3

Add mayonnaise and milk and mix until just blended.

Step 4

Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased or parchment papered cookie sheet.

Step 5

Bake for 12 minutes or until golden.

We enjoyed these tasty biscuits...I should have added a touch more flour because they were a tad bit on the flat side...I cut the recipe in half and the hubby ate 4 with his dinner...that says a lot...made for "Billboard" tag game...

Just made these using all purpose flour and added in 1/2 cup grated old cheddar cheese, they turned out wonderful, must be the mayo for sure, I'll make these again soon, thanks
