"My friend Annette's ham is always so tender and flavourful so I asked her how she prepares it. This simple recipe was her answer Boiling the ham removes a lot of the salt. Leftovers, vacuum sealed, freeze well. The ham isn't watery when defrosted. Do not over boil the ham."

Ham doesn't get any easier then this!!! This method really tones down the salt and the meat has a great consistency.

I find ham to be really salty so when I saw this I knew I had to see for myself if it really did help remove a lot of salt. It worked like a charm and we had it for our Easter dinner with lots of other stuff. I cooked it like this then added a glaze of brown sugar, pineapple juice and cloves, then put it under the broiler until it glazed over. So tender and juicy and delish!
