  • When purchasing shrimp, look for large shrimp that are already cooked and deveined for convenience.
  • Be sure to use fresh dill for the best flavor.

  • Substitute shrimp for scallops - Scallops have a milder flavor and are much more tender than shrimp, so they will add a more delicate flavor to the salsa. Additionally, scallops are a bit more expensive than shrimp, making them a luxurious substitution.
  • Substitute celery hearts for bell peppers - Bell peppers have a slightly sweet flavor that will be a nice contrast to the spicy flavors in the salsa. Additionally, bell peppers are more colorful than celery hearts, so they will add a nice visual contrast to the dish.

Spicy Shrimp Salsa Increase the amount of crushed red pepper to 1/4 teaspoon and add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper for an extra kick of spice.

Cilantro Lime Rice: This flavorful rice dish is the perfect accompaniment to the Shrimp Salsa. The bright flavors of the cilantro and lime will contrast nicely with the shrimp and salsa, and the rice will provide a hearty base for the dish.

Grilled Corn Salad: This delicious and colorful salad is the perfect complement to the Shrimp Salsa. The sweetness of the corn will contrast nicely with the spiciness of the salsa, and the crunchy texture of the salad will provide a nice contrast to the creamy rice. Plus, the bright colors of the vegetables will add a vibrant pop to the plate.
