"One of my favourite ways of making bok choy! It is quick and simple. I usually use a large bunch of bok choy and double the sesame mixture. That feeds the two of us and some left over for lunch the next day."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk olive oil, sesame oil, and ginger; set aside.

Step 2

Pull the leaves off the base of the bok choy and slice off the very bottom of the stem to remove any tough pieces.

Step 3

Wash and pat dry; chop into bit size pieces.

Step 4

Heat wok or large frying pan over medium high heat.

Step 5

Add the sesame mixture to wok and add the bok choy.

Step 6

Stir fry for about 5-7 minutes (you want it to be a wee bit crunchy)

Step 7

Plate and drizzle with soy sauce if using and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

I have to tell you a little secret... I have never cooked bok choy :D This looked too good to pass up so I tried it. I cut the recipe down for just me and other than using low sodium soy sauce I made as directed. Loved it as a side with a noodle bowl I was having. Delicious!

This was good. Didn't have the sesame seeds although I looked in two stores for them. I used two bunches of Bok Choy.and one extra tsp of sesame oil. Cooked 10 minutes or more.
