Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2
Line a 9 inch glass pie dish with 1 pie crust.
Step 3
In a bowl combine the apples, 8 tablespoons sugar and the next 4 ingredients (-orange peel) and spoon the filling into the crust. Top with remaining crust; press crust edges together to seal; crimp edges and cut a 1 inch hole in center.
Step 4
Blend cream and 1 tablespoon sugar in a small cup or bowl and brush over crust.
Step 5
Bake pie until crust is golden and filling bubbles (45 minutes).
Step 6
Serve warm.
