"This was a combination of three recipes because I didn't have the ingredients to make any of them as written! Haven't had stuffed peppers for a long time, and this quick and easy combo was very tasty and satisfying."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cook rice according to package directions.
Step 2
Cut peppers in half end to end. Remove seeds and membranes, rinse peppers. Add enough water to a large saucepan to cover peppers. Heat to boiling, add peppers Cook 2-3 minutes, drain.
Step 3
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Cook beef and onion in skillet over medium heat 8-10 mins, or until beef is brown, drain. Stir in cooked rice, salt, garlic, and 1 cup of the pasta sauce. Simmer until hot.
Step 4
Stuff peppers with beef mixture. Transfer to a baking dish prepared with cooking spray. Pour additional pasta sauce over peppers. Cover tightly and bake 15 mins. Uncover and bake about 10 mins longer or until peppers are tender. Sprinkle with cheese and return to oven until cheese is melted.
