One of my favourite meatloaf recipes. This has been added to my regular meal rotation. DH, loves this too which is great because we don't usually enjoy the same kinds of foods.

I made this on 3/20/13 for the " Billboard Recipe Tag Game ". I did make a few changes and they are as follows, instead of 1 1/2 lbs. of beef 2 lbs. were used. Also a little more onion and pepper was added. For the amount of parsley,2 teaspoons of dried was used.Instead an even 1/2 teaspoon of sage, I used a heaping 1/2 teaspoon. And just like Quentin_James, I also added some garlic powder.I didn't use a loaf pan, it was free-formed and placed into a lightly greased 9x13 inch. After baking for 1 hour, the excess fat was drained then the topping mixture was spooned over the loaf and baked for another 20 minutes. After baking, I let the loaf "rest" for 10 minutes. And it sliced up just wonderfully. And the taste was exactly what you would expect from meatloaf," Comfort Food " at it's finest.Thank you for posting and, " Keep Smiling :) "
