Salsa Sauce

"This is a basic, super easy and tasty salsa sauce recipe. It is similar to the jar style salsa sauces you buy in the grocery stores. Use this as you would use any salsa sauce. I use the "Old El Paso" taco seasoning but any taco seasoning will do. If you like it a bit hotter, just increase the hot sauce."

This is very good. If you want to let it sit over night as some reviewers say it will taste better My suggestion is do not taste it first Because I don't think I will be able to wait. At first I found I only had 1/3 of the amount of taco seasoning I used that then I decided after using to make some more taco seasoning. I am so glad I did as it tasted much better.

Great flavorful salsa to make in the wintertime. I made this as directed but added extra garlic, garlic powder and garlic salt. We are salt and garlic freaks! I also ended up using the whole packet of taco seasoning. I let it simmer longer than 10 minutes. This was good warm, but way better the next day when all of the flavors blended and have a party in your mouth. It's spicy, but not too hot spicy which is good for me. I've enjoyed this with tortilla chips so far, but plan to have with quesadillas, and over chicken and baked potatoes with sour cream too. YUM! Freddy Cat says thanks for the salsa! Made for the Billboard recipe tag game.

This is nice and spicy! I knew it would be as I was adding the sriracha sauce! It is a lovely salsa that has a background heat that sneaks up on you! Thanks Bea! Great recipe!
