Step by Step Method
Step 1
Combine cornstarch and sugar in a saucepan.
Step 2
Stir in cream, mixing well.
Step 3
Cook over medium heat until boiling; stir in butter, lemon juice.
Step 4
Add drained apples and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
Cool.
Step 6
Spoon into baked crust, filling 3/4 full.
Step 7
Make topping; beat cream cheese and sugar until fluffy.
Step 8
Beat in egg.
Step 9
Spoon over apple filling.
Step 10
Sprinkle on coconuts and walnuts.
Step 11
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. Topping should be golden brown.
Step 12
Cool before serving.
