"My husband is an avid deer hunter and loves to make his version of a meat pie with his yearly venison catch. Venison is a very lean meat and needs to be mixed with pork so it is not so dry. Do not change the meat ratio in this recipe."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Mix all ingredients together except for potatoes and pie shells.
Step 2
Brown the meat mixture and simmer for half an hour.
Step 3
Drain fat.
Step 4
Add potatoes and mix well.
Step 5
Allow mixture to cool to room temperature.
Step 6
Fill 2 pie shells with meat mixture and add top shells.
Step 7
Seal edges and add vent holes.
Step 8
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour, until crust is nicely browned.
