"This recipe has been in my family for ages. It is the only pie crust recipe I have ever had success with. Very easy to work with. The trick is to keep everything on the cool side."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cut together flour, shortening and salt until it resembles small peas.

Step 2

Combine the egg, water and vinegar and gradually add to flour mixture.

Step 3

Stir just until moistened and a soft dough forms

Step 4

Divide into 2 disks.

Step 5

Wrap and refrigerate until ready to use.

Step 6

Roll out and use with your favourite pie recipe!
