My mother and grandmother made these every time they made a pie, to use up the scraps of dough.

Absolutely loved this easy to follow recipe. I cooked for the full 20 min. and had the normal flow of the sugars. The taste was great and for sure to be made as a fast pastry to make for guests and family at Christmas.

Lovely wee cookies! Not too sweet and goes well with a cuppa. After the first batch I had to reduce the temp as the filling was seeping out of the bottom of the cookies are starting to darken. Could be that we are 3000' above sea level here. Put some in the freezer for Christmas. Thanks Bea for another great recipe! Made for Billboard Recipe Tag.
