Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place sugar and milk in heavy saucepan.

Step 2

Bring to a rolling boil.

Step 3

Reduce heat, and boil until small amount forms a soft ball in cold water.

Step 4

Remove from heat, and add butter (the size of a walnut), vanilla, persimmon pulp and nuts.

Step 5

Let cool to room temperature.

Step 6

Beat until mixture begins to thicken.

Step 7

Spread on cloth wrung out in cold water.

Step 8

Roll candy, remove cloth, and let cool.

Step 9

Slice to serve.
