Interesting. That's the comment I kept getting when serving at a BBQ this weekend. Wish I had dressed up the apples a little before baking like another reviewer had done.

This was fantastic!! I brought this to a pot-luck and was devoured in no time. I was asked for the recipe by numerous people, it was that good. Made for the Billboard Recipe Tag Game.

I added a little sugar and cinnamon to the apples before putting them in the pie shell, and it worked quite well, since I used Granny Smith apples and they aren't quite as sweet as other apples. The pie was delicious! I served it warm out of the oven with a big scoop of French Vanilla ice cream, and shared it with my neighbors when they came over to watch a movie with me. This will be made again! Thanks so much for sharing this with us Puggs! Linda

We were pleasantly surprised with this pie. We loved the topping along with the crust. Different than a regular pie, which was a nice change. This is really great and the peanut butter adds a nice touch to the taste of the pie.I used the full 8 apples and chose Macintosh.  It made a nice deep pie.  We are sure to repeat this again and again!
