A little bit about this recipe...
This is a simple recipe that my family loves.

2 tbsp butter or margarine
1 cup uncooked orzo
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp chopped fresh basil for garnish
Step 1 |
Melt butter in heavy skillet over medium heat. |
Step 2 |
Stir in orzo and saute until lightly browned. |
Step 3 |
Stir in chicken broth and bring to a boil. |
Step 4 |
Cover and reduce heat and simmer until orzo is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 15 - 20 minutes. |
Step 5 |
Stir in parmesan and basil and season with salt and pepper. |
Step 6 |
Serve with the remaining chopped basil. |
