I love the grapefruit in this because it gives it a not too sweet tang. This drink was enjoyed. In addition to following the recipe as stated, I also tried it by adding a bit of maraschino cherry juice which I really enjoyed it that way too. Thank you Linky for sharing. Made it for SWT-Cuba, Team Sue Chefs.

I really enjoyed this cocktail, I loved the maraschino and rum together. I used fresh pink grapefruit juice but the maraschino was very dominant and the grapefruit got a little lost, I'll try decreasing the maraschino or increasing the grapefruit next time just to see the difference. Made for SWT 2019

This is such a great cocktail! I had only ruby red grapefruit juice left from Thanksgiving, so I decided to use it to make this cocktail. I think it added a touch of sweetness to the drink, because it wasn't as tart as most versions of Papa Doble cocktails that I've had in the past. (For color contrast, I probably should have garnished it with a wedge of lime though as the stemmed maraschino cherry got lost in the preponderance of deep pink.) Thanks for sharing your drink recipe, Linky. It was thoroughly enjoyed.
