Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F.

Step 2

Stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

Step 3

Stir in orange zest.

Step 4

Mix all the wet ingredients in a separate bowl.

Step 5

Make a well in centre of dry ingredients and add wet ingredients.

Step 6

Mix until JUST blended.

Step 7

Grease and flour an 8" round cake pan.

Step 8

Pour cake into pan.

Step 9

Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over the cake.

Step 10

Bake for about 30 minutes or until golden.

I loved this cake, I made it at Christmas time for a brunch, my only complaint is that the first time I made it it went too fast so I had to make another the next day, this cake is moist and has a wonderful orange flavor, it's definately a cake I will make many more times, thanks so much luvcookn for a wonderful cake recipe. I made this for Billboard tag game.
