"My family loves this dressing. It's moist and flavorable. The rich turkey broth really makes it tasty. The amount of the broth you use depends on how moist you like your dressing. You can get by with 1 cup of broth if the dressing feels and looks moist enough to you. Prep time does not include the cubing and drying time of the bread. I usually cube and dry my bread 2-3 days before I want to make dressing."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a large skillet, cook the celery and onion in hot melted butter until tender; about 10 minutes.

Step 2

Add all seasonings to the butter mixture in the skillet, and stir well until througly mixed.

Step 3

Add the butter seasoning mixture, beaten eggs, and broth to the large bowl of bread cubes. Mix together well.

Step 4

Put the dressing into a greased 13x9 casserole dish. Cover with foil and bake 35-45 minutes in a 325 degree oven. Uncover the last 10 minutes.

This is definitely moist and delicious!!! I served this as a side to kittencal's rapid blast roast chicken for our Thanksgiving dinner. I did cut the recipe back a bit as it was just two of us for dinner.

Loved this! I reduced the poultry seasoning to 1 teaspoon and used chicken broth (I didn't have any turkey broth) pretty much made as stated, my family enjoyed this. Thanks for posting this yummy recipe Elsie. Happy Holidays! regards Brandy
