Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a small bowl whisk together the syrup through cornstarch solution until smooth.

Step 2

Place the fillets skin-side-down in a shallow baking pan.

Step 3

Pour the syrup mixture over the salmon.

Step 4

Bake about 15-18 minutes at 450°F until the fish flakes easily; baste with glaze halfway through cooking. (Can also be grilled, check doneness to determine time.)

Step 5

Sprinkle with scallion and almonds before serving.

This salmon made for a lovely dinner. I didn't use the almonds this time but may try them next time. I used the real Vermont maple syrup and I swear it's what made the salmon extra special. No complaints at the table when I served this!
