Step by Step Method

Step 1

Toss one pound pecans with the maple syrup and approximately 1/4 cup of balsamic to taste (look for a nice sweet/tangy balance).

Step 2

Roast on parchment lined baking sheet at 325 degrees until fragrant and glazed. (about 15 minutes), then sprinkle generously with sea salt and let cool.

Step 3

Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

The balsamic was a nice addition to this. It did balance out the sweetness. I had to use regular salt because that's what I had. I had to stop myself from munching on this.

These nuts are so easy and such a wonderful snack. I used walnut halves instead of pecans, real maple syrup and kosher salt. One tip is to let them cool completely before using a spatula to scrape them off of the parchment paper. I made a batch to take to an event, and everyone loved them. A couple of people even asked for the recipe. I will definitely be making these again.
