"Once you try this you'll never buy the expensive store bought version again. If you're careful with the chips you buy, you can make this gluten-free, and maybe even sugar-free. The secret is the coconut oil - please use the best you can afford, as it will affect the taste. I use a cold-pressed virgin coconut oil. Yum! YIELD IS ABOUT ONE CUP."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Stir the chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a large microwave-safe bowl. Place in the microwave and cook on high for 30 seconds. Remove and stir. Continue microwaving and stirring in 15 second intervals until all of the chocolate is melted.

Step 2

Pour the sauce into a glass jar and let cool to room temperature before using.

If you have leftovers, cover and store at room temperature for up to 1 month. Do not refrigerate
