"One of my favorite foods is chicken wings and I am always putting them together in different ways. These wings have a nice sweet tang to them and turn out tender and juicy so they do not need a sauce. You must use fresh squeezed lemon juice for this; the bottled stuff does not work well in this recipe. Processing the garlic through a garlic press offers a more garlicky taste to the wings then mincing them."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place all the ingredients together in a large re-sealable freezer bag and seal it removing as much of the air as possible; swish together to coat wings.

Step 2

Allow the wings to marinate refrigerated for at least 8 hours or overnight.

Step 3

Remove the wings from the marinade and grill over direct heat turning over after every 2 minutes, until cooked through and no longer pink in the middle. The cook time will depend on how thick your wings are.

Step 4

Sprinkle with a bit of lemon pepper and enjoy!

Wow!! I knew I would like these wings, but boy were these ever a hit with my family!!! I made this as written, using a little over a pound of wings, and only marinated them for about an hour before grilling. I should have read the recipe the day before but forgot, but it really didn't matter and will make it this way again. In order to compensate for the little marinading time, we basted the wings for the first half of grilling. We absolutely loved the sweet, heat (from the peppers) and tang from the lemon, such a great combination. Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipe that I, and my son and his girlfriend, will be making again.

Lemon lovers listen up. These wings are so delicious you will want to eat them till they come out your ears! Make sure you make extra, because if you don't, you will wish you had. They are that good!

These little wings packed some awesome flavor! They were so good. My lil guy requested them last night again for supper and I had to tell them they were all gone. Next time I will have to 4x the recipe to have some leftover for him!
